Biltmore Gardens was designed by well-known landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead (the same man who designed Central Park in the 1850s). The gardens comprise more than thirty acres and are only a small distance from the estate.
I have fond memories of visiting the Biltmore Estate about 10 years ago. Frederick Law Olmstead also designed Mount Royal Park in the centre of Montreal. It is 470 acres and I walk there most days. Thank you for reminding me of and writing about the Biltmore.
